During the past couple of days, there have been at least 20 TOW ATGM strikes by Syrian rebels in the Hama province.
Our attention was caught by this particular strike, after which the tank kept moving and there was no ammo explosion, unlike the majority of the hits.
Although the tank is not nearby to confirm its type, after careful examination, we believe the tank is a T-90 or T-90A (with welded turret), and the TOW was absorbed by the Kontakt-5 reactive armor around it’s turret.
The crew can be seen leaving the tank, but that’s what we’ve been seeing most of the time in Syria. The crew jump out as soon as the tank is hit whether or not it’s destroyed.
