Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defense has confirmed the country’s Air Force has received four Mi-35M attack helicopters from Russia’s Rosoboronexport.
The Kazakh MoD added that the Mi-35Ms will increase the combat capabilities of the Air Force, adding that the crew have been trained to operate the new helicopters.
The Mi-35M attack helicopter is a modernization of the venerable Mi-24. The helicopters can be used effectively in high temperatures and high altitude. The helicopter can use guided as well as unguided weapons in all types of weather conditions.
The Mi-35M is equipped with modern navigation and electronic display. In addition, the helicopter has a range of protection options.
Besides its attack capabilities, the Mi-35M helicopter can be used for transportation of personnel and cargo.
