Iran test-fires locally-produced Sayyad-3 surface-to-air missile

Iran has successfully test-fired a new locally-produced “Sayyad-3” missile from “Talash” air defense system during an air defense drill in southern Iran.

The Sayyad-3 has a range of 150 km and is paired with a locally produced radar.

According to Iranian sources, Sayyad-3 can intercept various types of air targets including cruise missiles, aircraft, drones, and helicopters.

Previously, older missiles with a shorter range were in use with the Talash air defense system.
