A Syrian Air Force L-39 Albatros was lost over Eastern Aleppo on Saturday during a combat sortie, both pilots have been announced dead.

A Syrian Air Force L-39 Albatros was lost over Eastern Aleppo on Saturday during a combat sortie, both pilots have been announced dead.

The Air Force claims the plane was lost due to technical error around the Aleppo citadel area, whereas the opposition claims its fighters shot down the jet.

We can’t independently verify the cause of the loss.
