According to well-informed Russian sources, four Su-35S fighter jets that were recently delivered to the Russian Air Force have been deployed to the Russian air group in Hmeimim Air Base.

The jets, which carry numbers 50, 51, 52, and 53 red, had made their maiden flight to Komsomolsk from November 12 to 15, where they stayed for a week. On November 21, the jets departed to Hmeimim from Marinovka Air Base in the Volgograd region.

The Su-35s took the usual path through the Caspian Sea, Iran and Iraq, and were lead by a Tu-154B-2 passenger aircraft  (registration number RA-85586).

Reportedly, the new Su-35s arrived to Hmeimim on November 21 to replace four Su-35s 03, 04, 05, and 06 red, which had been on duty since January 30, 2016. Those Su-35s were also newly-received Su-35s.
