Russia expresses readiness to train additional Armenian Army officers

According to the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Nikolay Bordyuja, Russia is ready to train and provide military education to additional numbers of Armenian Army officers.

Currently, the number of Armenian officers training in Russia is set to double, as 200 additional officers are expected to join the already existing 200. Bordyuja added that Russia is ready to fulfill the educational needs of the Armenian Ministry Defense regardless of the quantity of officers.

On August 15, the issue was discussed during a meeting between the defense ministers of Armenia and Russia.

Armenian officers receive military education in China, Germany, Greece, Great Britain, Lithuania and Estonia.
