The Lebanese Army received 50 armored vehicles, 40 artillery pieces and 50 grenade launchers on Tuesday. The delivery is part of the US aid to Lebanon which is countering threat from jihadist militant groups in neighboring Syria.
The equipment, worth $50 million, is part of an aid package that has now topped $220 million this year, making Lebanon the fifth-biggest recipient of American military assistance.
155mm M198 towed howitzers, which Lebanon already operates were among the received equipment. Armored Humvees can also been seen in the photos.
Hellfire missiles are included in the received ammo.
